Description:

VENu is a mobile app which allows you to see data from the MicroBooNE experiment on your phone. View events recorded by the MicroBooNE experiment or try to catch neutrinos yourself!
VENu is built and rendered in a 3D environment and is designed to exhibit virtual reality features. Use your personal VR viewer and immerse yourself in the MicroBooNE detector!

The challenge of particle physics

This app gives you a feel of some of the challenges involved in experimental particle physics. It's not a really a game, but a visual experience of what particle interactions look like. You're given the challenge of identifying neutrino events (what the MicroBooNE experiment wants to find) against a background of cosmic rays. If what you see at first glance is confusing, be sure to check out the "Learn" section. It will context to the the 3D images: the box that is the LArTPC, the moving "stars" which actually mark the direction of the neutrino beam, what the different particles are (neutrinos, muons, and so on). In effect, the Learn section gives you the "rules of the game".

Excellent app!

Very cool!
AudioToolbox
The Audio Toolbox framework provides interfaces for recording, playback, and stream parsing. In iOS, the framework provides additional interfaces for managing audio sessions.
AVFoundation
The AV Foundation framework provides an Objective-C interface for managing and playing audio-visual media in iOS and OS X applications.
Bolts
Bolts is a collection of low-level libraries designed to make developing mobile apps easier.
CardboardSDK
Cardboard iOS SDK for VR developers

Core Audio
Core Audio is the digital audio infrastructure of iOS and OS X. It includes a set of software frameworks designed to handle the audio needs in your applications. Read this chapter to learn what you can do with Core Audio.
Core Foundation Framework
Core Foundation is a framework that provides fundamental software services useful to application services, application environments, and to applications themselves. Core Foundation also provides abstractions for common data types, facilitates internationalization with Unicode string storage, and offers a suite of utilities such as plug-in support, XML property lists, URL resource access, and preferences.
Core Graphics
The Core Graphics framework is based on the Quartz advanced drawing engine. It provides low-level, lightweight 2D rendering with unmatched output fidelity. You use this framework to handle path-based drawing, transformations, color management, offscreen rendering, patterns, gradients and shadings, image data management, image creation, and image masking, as well as PDF document creation, display, and parsing.
Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You use the classes and protocols in this framework to configure and schedule the delivery of location and heading events. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
CoreMedia
Core Motion Framework
The Core Motion framework lets your application receive motion data from device hardware and process that data. The framework supports accessing both raw and processed accelerometer data using block-based interfaces. For devices with a built-in gyroscope, you can retrieve the raw gyro data as well as processed data reflecting the attitude and rotation rates of the device. You can use both the accelerometer and gyro-based data for games or other apps that use motion as input or as a way to enhance the overall user experience.
CoreText
Core Text is an advanced, low-level technology for laying out text and handling fonts.
