Its population of approximately two million makes it the most populous county in the State of Michigan and the 13th most populous county in the Nation.

Wayne County NETS is an app is to serve as a first look for the county to provide information on any public health threat that compromises the health and safety of the citizens of Wayne County. It will do so by providing notification, education, threats, and safety news via smart phone app. Additionally, the app will have information about the services offered by the county health department, to include locations of public health offices, services provided, and public health alerts. The app provides a platform on citizens and businesses can take a pro-active approach to being prepared for an emergency.
