Description:
Ask a student: do you know polynomials? Of course. Do you know trigonometry or real-imaginary coordinate? Nah...not really a math student. Students fear advanced topics in math. iMathland tackles math phobia by explaining the “why” behind seemingly “non-sense” math rules and connecting complex topics to easier ones. Using animation to demonstrate the concepts intuitively, iMathland contains three basic units: order of operations, graphing linear equations, and polynomials. Three more advanced units follow: trigonometry, real-imaginary coordinates, and polar coordinates. iMathland takes an intuitive approach to help students understand the fundamental ideas. The App concludes with Mystery Curves, which are widely applied in art and logo design. Based on the equation of mystery curves and Gauss-Newton algorithm, my App generates beautiful symmetric images.
