AKA has provided innovative media and marketing, promotions, digital, creative and ticket selling solutions to the theatre and entertainment industry since 1995. The agencyÍs rapid growth has seen the company certified as a fully recognised advertising agency in June 2000, meeting the demand to create a dynamic full service agency, that promotes smart thinking and strategic planning. AKA is the only global agency serving the live entertainment and cultural industries and the principle of its service is simple; to create awareness, engage consumers and drive ticket sales and admissions.
AKA was originally founded in 1994 by Adam Kenwright, who remains Group Managing Director of the agency. In 2008, AKA opened a full service agency in Melbourne and, in 2010, extended their marketing consultancy offering to a full service agency in New York. A Sydney office was founded in 2012. Most recently film advertising agency The Creative Partnership was introduced to The AKA Group in 2012, with international digital services company DMS following suit a year later.
