At the British Heart Foundation, we fight for every heartbeat, everywhere. In the last year alone, weÍve invested more than £100m in hundreds of life saving research projects across the UK, and helped countless communities beat heart disease with our prevention, survival and support programmes.
Our vision is of a world in which people do not die prematurely of heart disease.
We will achieve this through our pioneering research, our vital prevention activity and by ensuring quality care and support for people living with heart disease.

Description:
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) Defibmapper provides a quick and simple way to register the location of a defibrillator.
Of the 30,000 plus people in the UK who have a cardiac arrest outside of hospital, less than 1 in 10 survive. Knowing where the nearest defibrillator is located could mean a difference between life and death.
That's why the BHF is looking to locate and map where defibrillators can be found as the more that are known about, the quicker a 999 operator will be able to direct someone to this potentially life saving equipment if there’s an emergency.
Defibmapper is a handy app that allows you to register the location of a defibrillator when you see one, there and then.
It allows you to register the location in three simple steps:
1. Take a photo of the defibrillator (not mandatory)
2. Provide location details for the defibrillator(s)
3. Provide contact details (only if verification is required)
This information will then be checked and verified before being placed on a defibrillator register, linked to the local 999 and ambulance service.
The location of all those defibrillators registered will help save lives.
