The Proximity Scanner is intended for use by PG&E employees and contract-staff. The app uses your phone's GPS to verify WDR permit coverage and local Cortese-site locations. It considers the extent of each Regional Water Quality Control Board and the Cortese-sites (Government-listed hazardous materials sites) within PG&E’s service area in California. The Proximity Scanner App is to be used in conjunction with the Vault Dewatering form as part of the vault dewatering procedure and helps PG&E Employees and Contractors determine if clean vault water may be discharged to land in certain locations after land owner approval is received and documented.
