Delaware Valley Friends School is a coed Quaker college preparatory school serving students with learning disabilities or differences in grades 3-12.
Since 1987, Delaware Valley Friends has been a national leader in the field of learning differences. Delaware Valley Friends employs research-based instructional techniques and innovative technologies to help students build the skills they will need to become life-long learners. The DVFS Adolescent Literacy Program, developed by our language and literacy instructors, is the only school-based program in the region recognized by both the International Dyslexia Association and the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC) - national leaders in evaluating best practices in teaching literacy to LD students. We offer a full array of arts, athletics, and extracurricular opportunities and an outstanding adventure learning program for a well-rounded educational experience. Delaware Valley Friends is known for small classes, individual attention, and a supportive community based on Quaker values that honors differences and builds studentsÍ confidence that they can succeed in school and beyond. On average, 98% of graduates go on to college and university level studies.
Located in Paoli, Pa., the school serves students from across the extended Delaware Valley region, including New Jersey and Delaware.
