Description:

Mentor DDP by eDriving℠ is an app for drivers of Distribution and Delivery Partners around the world. Mentor helps you improve your driving by measuring your driving behaviors, providing actionable feedback, helping you to develop safer driving habits that can be sustained over time. Changing behavior and habits is hard work, as anyone knows who has attempted to modify their diet or exercise routine. But Mentor can help you make key changes in driving habits, one trip at a time, by:

- Identifying “at-risk” behaviors including Harsh Acceleration, Hard Braking, Harsh Cornering, Phone Distraction, and Speeding

- Measuring and rewarding changes in behavior

- Providing engaging 3-5-minute micro-training modules to help encourage behavior change

Why is this needed?  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has identified the main cause for crashes: Drivers!  An NHTSA study found that 94% of crashes were caused by drivers’ actions which reflect their attitudes and behaviors, NOT by skill gaps or an inability to drive. Increasingly, driver distraction is contributing to more collisions and incidents than ever before – both mental distraction (thinking about something other than driving) and physical distraction (interacting with cell phone). And it’s getting worse! Over the last two years, the rate of increase in road fatalities rose to levels unseen in the past 50 years.

Mentor can help!  With Mentor, you will:

- Receive a FICO® Safe Driving Score which reflects your positive and negative driving behaviors over a rolling 7 days.

- Understand how well you drive and where and how you need to improve through immediate feedback received after every trip.

- Monitor trending for your FICO® Safe Driving Score over time.

- Receive a “playlist” of bite-sized, interactive coaching modules designed to address your specific driving challenges.

- Easily complete and submit your DVCRs from within Mentor.

Not worth your time

App is very inaccurate. Phone manipulation when phone is in cradle. Hard stop under normal braking. Occasional speed limit violations due to wrong information. Cornering always in the yellow even if you constantly almost come to a stop before turning. You can drive the same exact route the same way and get a great score with multiple smooth stops and smooth turns one time and then nothing the next time. Waste of money.

Garbage. Good reviews are fake. Bad for morale.

I like the idea of this, but they need to change the scoring system. Score is completely random and makes no sense. Have a perfect drive and watch your score go down for no reason. My score was 794 this morning, and this evening it went down to 778 and I had nothing but perfect drives. Literally every good review is fake and written by a reputation management firm. Dishonest, garbage app with robotic responses from customer support. Watching your score plummet for no reason after driving perfectly is bad for morale. This app is hot garbage and is made by total idiots.

Really????

You give a poor performance for heartbreaking! What if somebody pulls out in front of me and I have to break hard why am I being penalized for that! Should I just run into them so that I can get a good mentor score! Give me a break!!!

Random scores. The app has no value

I have been driving a company vehicle for over 32 years, with no accidents or moving violations and over 1.4 million safe miles. So I know that I am a safe driver. I have had this app on my phone for over three years. The scores it gives you pretty much random. We’ve had two drivers from our company in the car at the same time placed both phones in the glove box and get two totally different scores. I’ve driven the same 10 mile stretch on the interstate with the cruise control set below the speed limit, no braking, no changing lanes and then get off at the same exit and stop and have two totally different scores. And get a driving event that says hard cornering. How do you get hard cornering on a straight stretch of road? ?? You can also get a good or great score on a drive in your overall total score number will go down how does that make sense It’s a totally worthless “Big Brother” app. That’s why the rating is as low as it is. If you look you will also notice that all of the five star ratings occurred on the same day. This is an example of app developers trying to raise their score It doesn’t help you become a better driver it’s just an irritant.

Kills Cell phone battery

This app is killing my phone battery, always running in the background. There has to be some type of fix for this.
AVFoundation
The AV Foundation framework provides an Objective-C interface for managing and playing audio-visual media in iOS and OS X applications.
Core Foundation Framework
Core Foundation is a framework that provides fundamental software services useful to application services, application environments, and to applications themselves. Core Foundation also provides abstractions for common data types, facilitates internationalization with Unicode string storage, and offers a suite of utilities such as plug-in support, XML property lists, URL resource access, and preferences.
Core Graphics
The Core Graphics framework is based on the Quartz advanced drawing engine. It provides low-level, lightweight 2D rendering with unmatched output fidelity. You use this framework to handle path-based drawing, transformations, color management, offscreen rendering, patterns, gradients and shadings, image data management, image creation, and image masking, as well as PDF document creation, display, and parsing.
Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You use the classes and protocols in this framework to configure and schedule the delivery of location and heading events. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
Foundation Framework
The Foundation framework provides a base layer of functionality for apps and frameworks, including data storage and persistence, text processing, date and time calculations, sorting and filtering, and networking. The classes, protocols, and data types defined by Foundation are used throughout the macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS SDKs.
Launch Services
macOS Launch Services is an API that enables a running app to open other apps or their document files, similar to the Finder or the Dock.Launch Services eliminates apps having to query the Finder to open an app, document, or URL for them. The macOS Finder itself uses Launch Services to perform such tasks. Because the Finder performs no additional processing beyond calling Launch Services, any client using Launch Services for these purposes behaves identically to the Finder.
MobileCoreServices
Use uniform type identifier (UTI) information to create and manipulate data that can be exchanged between your app and other apps and services using MobileCoreServices.
Quartz Core Framework
Allow users to browse, edit, and save images, using slideshows and Core Image filters. The Quartz Composer API supports processing and rendering graphical data and allows developers to create custom patches for the Quartz Composer developer tool. ImageKit provides user interface support for browsing, editing, and saving images, showing slideshows, and browsing and previewing Core Image filters. PDFKit is a technology that allows applications to display and manipulate PDF documents.
System Configuration F...
This collection of documents describes the programming interfaces of the System Configuration framework. The System Configuration framework provides functions that determine the reachability of target hosts in both a synchronous and an asynchronous manner. It also provides error detection facilities.
UIKit
The UIKit framework (UIKit.framework) provides the crucial infrastructure needed to construct and manage iOS apps. This framework provides the window and view architecture needed to manage an app’s user interface, the event handling infrastructure needed to respond to user input, and the app model needed to drive the main run loop and interact with the system.
