EyeNetra is an award winning technology developed at MIT Media Lab. Based in Somerville, MA, EyeNetra develops mobile phone eye diagnostics that measures the correction of users'_ vision. The first device is called NETRA-G, consisting of a low cost clip-on eyepiece that attaches to a smart phone and allows anyone to administer a simple and quick eye test for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism, and receive measurements for an eyeglass prescription. Our first goal is to reach 2.4 billion people around the globe who don't have glasses who need them. EyeNetra plans to be at the forefront of the mHealth revolution by creating a suite of mobile eye diagnostics that integrate to a cloud-based platform that brokers new business between patients and providers + vendors (eg hospitals, doctors, eyeglass stores, pharmaceuticals, and more).

Description:
NETRA is a companion app for the NETRA Autorefractor add-on for Samsung S4s. Please see more information here: https://eyenetra.com/product-netra.html
Ideal for mobile eye clinics and vision screenings, the NETRA autorefractor measures the eye's refractive error for eyeglasses prescriptions. The user goes through a series of game-like interactions in a virtual-reality environment. In the end, the smartphone computes sphere, cylinder, axis and pupillary distance.
The NETRA app connects the device results to the Insight platform: an on-line, HIPAA-compliant EMR. Insight provides all the necessary tools to allow eye care providers to perform refractions anywhere.
