Since 1958 the Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ) has been providing support to the Smithsonianês National Zoo. Since then FONZ has raised millions of dollars to support the critical work of the National Zoo and the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute _ including species preservation, animal care, Zoo-based events and volunteer Zoo staff. We are committed to the Smithsonianês National Zoo mission to save species _ for us and generations to come.
