The NYP Connect app offers a suite of digital services that turn your mobile device into New York's #1 hospital. Through NYP Connect you can easily, and quickly, communicate with world-class experts from Columbia and Weill Cornell Medicine for services such as Virtual Urgent Care, Video Visits, and more. Whether at home or one of our hospital locations, our resources are now at your fingertips.

APP FEATURES:

NYP Connect: Communicate with our doctors from your mobile phone or tablet and address your health needs at your convenience. Access your patient portal to manage virtual appointments, review test results, pay your bill, and so much more.

Virtual Urgent Care: For non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries, access Virtual Urgent Care which connects you with one of our Emergency or Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians through a live video chat 7 days a week. Adult services are available in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM midnight, with Pediatric services (individuals under 18 years of age) available in New York and New Jersey from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM midnight.

Video Visit: You can save time traveling to and waiting in the doctor's office by video conferencing with your doctor instead. It is a quick, convenient way to communicate with medical professionals contributing to your care.

Find a Doctor: Find your ideal doctor based on their specialty, location, insurance network, and even language.

Patient Portal: Easily access your medical records, contact with your healthcare provider, request a prescription, and more.

With a built-in hospital guide for all NewYork-Presbyterian locations, you will always have our important phone numbers, transportation guides, and patient guides readily available to you.

Wayfinding: We now offer detailed, turn by turn instructions within Weill Cornell Medical Center, David H. Koch Center, and the Alexandra Cohen Hospital through the NYP Connect app. Use the Wayfinding feature to navigate within the hospital to points of interest such as Clinical Departments, Cafes, Patient Services, and more.

Healthkit: With Healthkit integration, the app can obtain health information from your Apple Health App and share it with your healthcare providers. The "Track My Health" activity can be used to connect to the Health App and import data to NYP Connect. Please consult with your healthcare provider for more details and how to enable this feature.

Doesn’t work. Takes your money and runs

Signed up for a virtual doctors visit. App would only give an error message and then log me out. Technical support doesn’t answer the phone and neither does billing. $100 for an error page. Do not buy.

Not good at all

I tried to find a primary care physician using this app after it was updated twice. There are virtually no filters, it gives doctors who are miles and miles away. There is no way to find a doctor in a particular zip code. This app seems to be only good for a virtual visit, but with an iPhone I could do a virtual on FaceTime. This app is basically not good at all.

Beware extra fees

Everywhere in the app it says virtual visit costs $49. Yet why was I mailed a bill for an Additional $130 after my appointment! That is fraud. No where on the site does it say you are charged more than $49 for a visit. This is a rip-off. And the help options are useless.

App is useless. Better off with the phone.

Every useful function on this app requires a separate login/account - appointment scheduling, records review, billing...maybe more, but i gave up after that. It’s also not possible to view my child’s medical records, as all the relevant details are blocked because he is a minor. Finally, the “send a message to your doctor” function doesn’t seem to work. We’ve resorted to using the phone and leaving messages through their message service — the 50% success rate and hours long wait for a response is still more useful than the app.

Poor implementation of MyChart

If you want to see an Epic MyChart implementation done right, look no further than NYU Langone. Their implementation is fantastic and works nearly perfectly. NYP has a long way to go to get their MyChart anywhere near that of NYU. However I’ll add, their telemedicine did work very well for me.

Core Foundation Framework
Core Foundation is a framework that provides fundamental software services useful to application services, application environments, and to applications themselves. Core Location Framework
