Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado, one of the main global brands, is the result of a joint venture between Reed Exhibitions, the world's leading business fair brand, which organizes around 440 events, in 36 countries, and Alcantara Machado, Latin America's largest events company. The partnership aims to perfect the quality of the services provided to the exhibiting public and visitors/buyers, to establish a more aggressive marketing policy in Brazilian and international markets, with the aim of attracting more exhibitors and buyers from strategic locations, to form a database that will provide access to new information about exhibitors and visitors/buyers from various parts of the world and to broaden the information network between companies (e.g.: Reed has 39 offices on different continents). With this union Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado has started to have a diversified calendar, comprising more than forty annual and bi-annual events, which cover most of the economic segments - automotive, agribusiness, construction, beauty, energy, packaging, image, property, manufacturing, mechanics, plastics, sanitation and the environment, security, transport and logistics, textiles and tourism - and attract buyers from more than 100 countries and all continents; in odd years this number is 700,000 in total and in even years it rises to 1.4 million, including Brazilians and foreigners. The number of exhibiting companies from various parts of the world exceeds 5000 per year.
