When I first tried to register the activation link took me to a blank Schuter page. I tried on multiple devices but with the same result. The following morning it worked. Possibly a server error. The app provides very basic functions but in a clumsy way. For example: When you program a schedule there is no setting to make all weekdays the same. As a result you have to individually set the temperatures and time periods for each day individually. The most annoying part is that if you don’t hit save before moving to the next day, you lose the settings for that day. But if you do hit save, it takes you back to the main screen. So, you have to go back and click through all the days to get to the next day that you want to program. You can’t change any other settings other than temperatures and schedules. There is no way to change any other settings on the thermostat such as display preferences or WiFi settings. It shows you energy use but there does not appear to be anywhere where you can set your electrical rate so that it can be converted to display your energy cost. The app did not ask for permission to use notifications, so I assume that it will not advise me if the thermostat loses contact with the network or if there are any other issues. A universal app that would display in landscape mode on an iPad would be nice as it only works in portrait mode so you have to hold it like a giant iPhone. HomeKit and Siri support would be nice so that temperatures could be monitored via the Home app and automations could be set up to work with other HomeKit devices and schedules as well as voice commands. These observations are on version 1.01. The thermostat itself is a beauty. Hopefully the app will improve with time.

This is horrible. Very glitchy. Registering my product is barbaric. Obviously smart homes are not a priority for schluter. As a tech guy I should have not used schluter. My first clue should have been what I found out it’s not compatible with Alexa. Downhill after that. I hope I can return them once sensor cable is already in ground. 🧐

System itself is amazing. Downloaded app so I could view and control temperature. Registered with the website but app doesn’t recognize my registration and will not allow me to login. Very disappointing. Called support team. Very friendly and helpful but never heard of this problem. Bit concerning.
