Decline in quality

Shazam worked well for several years after I downloaded it; for a free app, it was great...😎 However, over the past year+ the quality seems to have plummeted.🤷🏻‍♀️ Recently, shazam hasn’t been able to identify 3 out of every 4 songs I attempt to identify. 🙇🏻‍♀️ The shortcut I have set for shazam on my phone no longer works, either. Admittedly, this may be an issue with my phone & not the app, so, until I sort that out I won’t hold it against shazam. Not certain what needs to happen to expand the archives of identifiable music so that I am actually once again able to name that tune with the help of this app, but, I hope it happens soon. One more item: I deleted the app years after I first downloaded it, and in doing so, I lost the list of every song I’d ever shazammed. 😖 I’d built up quite a collection and loved that I could access all of them in one place - then I deleted the app. The reason I deleted the app, you ask...? I removed it because it failed to name the last 10 or more songs I tried to i.d. I thought deleting & re-installing may help rectify its former stellar ability. Immediately following the tap to confirm deletion, I thought of my song list... 🤦🏻‍♀️ A long, diverse, carefully curated list of songs, gone forever. 🤯🤬😞 I know, operator error, my fault for not backing them up. I do realize that it’s totally irrational to blame shazam for the loss of my list, but, damned if I don’t still feel resentful about it. In closing, despite the complaints about its more recent performance, I am a shazam fan
