I love this app!

My wife and I rescue bats and do some children's education classes around the state. This is an awesome app to get kids excited about bats! We teach that bats are not the scary creatures that they are made out to be in movies and games. This book has some great interactions with allowing kids to fly the bat and even send sound waves just like real bats. Thank you for this app!

Great App!

My 3 1/2 year-old grandson loves Bats! Furry Fliers of the Night. It has enough interaction that it seems game-like and is packed with easily understood information and gorgeous images, both photographs and illustrations. The voice that reads the text speaks clearly and at a perfect pace. The app is broken down into 7 short "chapters" and sets many misconceptions we have about bats to rest. I can't believe how much my grandson has learned about bats! He examines the drawings and photos of a bat skeleton and wings, makes his own echo location sounds, and of course is very impressed that bat caves have piles of poop called guano. This app has gained impressive reviews in the professional journals and I see why. Mary Kay Carson, who wrote the app, has a beautiful bat book for kids in the prestigious Scientists in the Field series. If you are looking for an educational app that is visual and interactive, and about an amazing and diverse mammal, try this one.

LOVE bats!

This was a little hard to figure out it's movement at first, but it's s good app. Graphics are good, topic interesting and reader is good with the pace for young children! Why bats....they are natures pest control....we need more bats, fewer mosquitos!

Great book!

Loved sharing this interactive book with my children. Entertaining and educational. Virtual flying and the comparison of bat wings to human hands were great features. My kids loved hunting for the hidden bat. Vivid photos brought the bats to life, too. We are hopeful there will be more books like this soon.

Fun and educational

Bats! Furry Fliers of the Night

I downloaded this for my son who learned about bats in school today. The photos were great and the app had so many layers of interaction so much so that It took way longer to get through story time than I had expected. The info was simple enough for my youngest to grasp and interesting enough to hold even my interest. I think this app is not only fun but educational.
