Description:
AuthID protects account logins and transactions on websites using TeleSign two factor authentication services via push notifications and one time passcodes.
The push notification comes with “Simple” and “Code Challenge” modes. The one time passcodes are compliant with the IETF TOTP standard used by OATH initiative.
Simple push: Push notifications appear on the phone screen prompting the user to interact. The alerts include customizable copy, banners, and icons a message, and the option to click “Accept” or “Deny.” If an end user selects “Deny” they are then given the option to report fraud.
Code challenge: A numeric code appears on the website prompting the user to wait for a push notification on their phone. The user enters the code (presented on the client website) into the mobile app to authenticate the session.
One time passcode: A numeric code that changes every 30 seconds, based on the TOTP standard. If the number entered by the end user matches the number on TeleSign’s authentication server, then access is granted.
TeleSign is the leader in Mobile Identity solutions, helping customers secure more than 3.5 billion end user accounts worldwide and prevent registration fraud, while improving user experience and managing costs.
