Exciting to see UNC stepping into the mobile space however:
If the app is going to be nearly all webviews wrapped in a native app it might as well just be a responsive site, you would have better performance.
This is a decent start but the UX/UI is rough and the designer needs to understand the Apple HIG and typical mobile patterns. Far to many issues with Apples guidelines and natural paradigms that users would expect.
There's potential here but with some serious rethinking.

Love it!
This app is a great way to stay in touch with UNC. You can choose what news you want to see and what news you don't, and it offers a very wide range of material. I would definitely recommend it to grads and students!

Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You use the classes and protocols in this framework to configure and schedule the delivery of location and heading events. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
