The USTA Mid-Atlantic Section, one of 17 sections of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), is a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting and growing the sport of tennis by offering quality recreational and competitive programs for people of all ages and abilities.
The Section has been part of the official governing body for tennis in America since 1923. We serve over 35,000 members in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and eastern and southern West Virginia. Tennis players are involved in leagues, tournaments and programs sanctioned by the Section.
The USTA is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the recognized leader in promoting and developing the sportÍs growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.
