Goodwill helps people with barriers to employment go to work by providing jobs, job training, educational opportunities and support services to enable employment and job retention. Since 1902, GoodwillÍs concept of building job skills has provided people of all ages and backgrounds a chance to succeed. Our Goodwill opened in 1921 as the 19th Goodwill in the United States, offering its own job training and placement services. Today, Goodwill operates work opportunity centers in Tacoma, Longview and Yakima. Goodwill is a unique, self-supporting 501(c)3 nonprofit that utilizes donations sold in its 37 stores across a 15-county service area and online sales to fund its programs. Additional funding comes from GoodwillÍs Go2 Property Services, a for-hire property services and packaging and assembly operation, public grants and financial contributions from the community.
