Better UI, but missing useful information

The UI is much improved in this version - nice calendar UI, easy to navigate. However it is missing some critical information: most notably program notes, but also podcasts, videos, and sound clips, related to each performance. All of these are available on the main web site, but the main site is very difficult to navigate on a phone. I enjoy reading the program notes on my way to a show (on the train). It seems an obvious oversite to not make these easily available on the mobile app.

Useless!

I would expect an app that shows when concerts occur would also list WHAT is performed. Only a "descriptive" title of the concert "MTT Conducts Gershwin" is listed when in fact there are works by Antheil (Jazz Symphony), Barber (Violin Concerto), and Gershwin (An American in Paris). How the heck am I supposed to decide whether I want to attend a particular concert? Woefully lacking as an aid to the SFSymphony. I would expect more. Sour note.

Only good for purchasing tickets (near-zero useful info)

I generally buy my SFS tickets all at once before the season starts. Given the SFS's lack of a mobile-friendly web site, what I need in a mobile concert-going app is the concert details: every piece they're playing and the program notes! Videos are nice, but the program notes are the most valuable thing they could offer me and they're missing. Maybe management is worried I'll use my phone to read them in the dark (bothering fellow patrons) or will skip getting a bulky paper program and its ads (I'd happily read SFS-supporting ads in-app :), but this app assumes the ticket stub details (think "MTT conducts Rachmaninov") is enough to make a purchasing decision, and then that's about all you can do with the app. Other parts of the app are also weak and out of line with my symphony practices. "Getting here" starts with nearby parking lots? Only if you drill down to "Venues" (there are currently only two of three listed) do you discover that Davies has excellent transit accessibility (Flint Center's isn't bad either, but that's no mentioned). And then the restaurants. Because I have to come a long way to the show, I tend to eat afterwards. Can we get some information into the app about how late the places are open? I'll use Yelp any day over this feature. This app lets you buy tickets and that's it. Very little useful information about what you are buying or for when it is time to go. -Soren

Frustrated user

We downloaded the app to our computer and it just disappeared. Where is it? How do you use it?

Works like a charm!

I love this app! It was so easy to nab my tickets while I was busy running other errands. The Facebook sharing feature is a plus for me too. Great line up of shows this summer!
