Sport Zone is owned by the largest private non financial Portuguese group Ð Sonae Group with more than 40.000 employees in 29 countries. Initially this retail company was created to address the portuguese market but its strategy changed after 10 years of existence. Pursuing a growth strategy, Sport Zone began an internationalization process in 2008, by opening the first store in Madrid, having now over 30 stores in Spain. After 18 years of activity and 111 stores in Portugal and Spain, most of them located in the best Shopping Centers, new markets are being studied in order to keep achieving growth goals. In 2014 opened its first franchise store in Ceuta and in april 2015 its franchise reached India.
