In 1993 Marlies Dekkers started up her own lingerie brand Undressed. Driven by her many creative ideas she designs her own lingerie collection based on her vision of life and with the aim of accentuating womenÍs self-confidence. Marlies managed to build up that cottage industry into what is today the MD Group: a company with around 60 employees and offices in The Netherlands (Rotterdam) and Hong Kong. Marlies DekkersÍs lingerie has become an established brand worldwide with approximately 500 selling points all over the world and 6 own stores. Other points of sale include Bijenkorf (the Netherlands), Selfridges (London) and Inno (Antwerp/Brussels). Every collection has a different story behind it. Her main inspiration sources vary from philosophers and artists to her own life experiences. Each story is told by the unique design, colours and print of a collection. From Fall Winter 2014 on, marlies|dekkers has four labels: the exclusive marlies|dekkers couture collection, marlies|dekkers style collection, marlies|dekkers signature collection and marlies|dekkers swimwear collection. MarliesÍs mission statement: ñI want to show the world beauty and taste experienced from a feminine point of view, according to the highest standard of creativity, integrity, quality and innovation, for our products services and concepts.î The marlies|dekkers employees have one thing in common: they dare to be, dare to dream and dare to explore.
