The Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) is the national professional association for veterinarians. We represent over 9000 members from across Australia.

Our Mission is to drive the success of the veterinary profession and promote veterinary science to benefit animals, the environment, the community, and our members.

The AVA is a single entity, with a national office is located in Sydney, and offices in Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney.

Our structure includes an AVA division in each state and territory. Within our larger divisions we support 40 branches that play an important role in delivering CPD to members and supporting collegiality.

Our 20 interest groups within the association cater for members with particular expertise or interest in aspects of veterinary science, and help ensure that the AVA can represent the diversity of the veterinary profession.
