Boost was established by Simon Gray in 2001, and it has achieved significant success and differentiation in the highly competitive functional drinks market. Its achievements are thanks not least to clear direction and vision, and a dynamic team who have built relationships and excellent reputations across the wholesale and independent retail industries.
Boost is now the UKÕs 2nd largest energy drinks brand in the impulse channel and sold over five million cases of its products during 2012.
Last year Boost was awarded one of the most prestigious awards in the industry: The Federation of Wholesale Distributors (FWD) Gold Medal for Grocery Brand for its flagship Boost Energy range.
Simon Gray was a drinker of energy drinks and realised there was no branded, value alternative in the market, so spotted an opportunity to offer independent retailers a product that could compete with premium brands. He worked with leading UK production companies to develop and launch the original 1 litre Boost Energy product, which is still part of BoostÕs core range today.
Boost has grown with a lean internal infrastructure and works with several UK-based outsourced specialists in marketing, sales, logistics and production.
As well as being the only brand totally focused on the independent retail sector, Boost is also the only brand that covers all three sectors of energy drinks - stimulation energy, glucose and isotonic.
